Quality Manager, Yorkshire

Our client is a leading international food manufacturer are seeking a Quality Manager for their site in North Yorkshire.
You will ensure effective management for the planning, development and maintenance of all related systems. This includes; developing and implementing Quality and Regulatory policies, continuous improvement of processes / systems, shaping the food/ feed safety culture and encouraging a small team of quality professionals.
Day to day accountability to ensure compliance for all Safety and Quality regulations, policies, standards and practices
Ensure factory standards are adhered to, support the reporting and completion of actions in the event of any deviations
Responsible for internal audit systems
Lead customer audits and visits including corrective action close outs
Engage and encourage a small site based team of quality professional
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry) or equivalent experience
Proven work experience including team supervision in the food/animal feed/drinks industry
Customer focused and achievement focused
Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritise individual and team workload
Familiar with global food safety standards
Pragmatic approach to problem solving
Computer skills and knowledge of common software packages
May require travel but the role is based at a single site
A continuous improvement mentality, formal knowledge and use of CI tools would be an advantage
Ability to organise work, prioritise, be decisive and ensure and accept accountability
