ROLE

Reporting into the Technical Manager, The Quality Manager is responsible on ensuring compliance, development and adherence to the HACCP plan. Their key role is to ensure the process is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements including food safety, legal compliance, customer standards and specifications. They will monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system and produce data and reports on this performance, measuring against set key performance indicators. Managing a team of QA’s across the shift to ensure that the Technical system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the Quality Manager advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve conformance against requirements. Ensuring that the Company quality standards are maintained and reviewed, adapting them where required. Communicating with customers and auditors when onsite. They will work on improvement projects aligned to the long-term strategy of the company and will be instrumental in creating a sustainable work environment for the team. To deputise for Technical Manager in periods of absence.

CANDIDATE

You will have a proven track record at least as a QA Supervisor within the Food Manufacturing sector. You will have excellent communication skills and you may come from any food background. You will have good BRC awareness and will be ready to support audits.

MON-FRI Office Hours, 45 Hour week

28 days annual leave (inclusive of BH), Free hot drinks, Life Assurance 4x salary, opportunity to join salary sacrifice pension scheme. Long service scheme – increasing annual leave to 30 days after 2 years’ service and 31 days after 5.
