Job Title: Quality and Compliance Manager

Salary: £45,000-£55,000

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Quality Manager with experience managing a small team or someone ready to step up into this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and report on the Quality Management System (QMS) performance.
• Work with managers and staff to ensure the QMS and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) are effective and meet legal and industry standards.
• Lead the food safety team, organise training, and manage competencies.
• Prepare for and conduct internal audits for ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP, etc.
• Oversee supplier management and maintain raw material specifications.
• Manage customer quality issues, including complaints and corrective actions.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for risk management and support sustainability initiatives.
• Work with the Health & Safety consultant on audits, risk assessments, and incident analysis.
Skills & Experience:
• Background in quality or compliance within food science or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC, and Kosher standards.
• Experience in internal or supplier auditing, HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in IT and document management.
• Degree in Food Science or related field; Level 3 in HACCP, Food Safety & Hygiene.
