and implement alternative approaches to managing quality?

Would you like to work with a global leader in the FMCG industry in a position that would focus on these key elements and lead to an interesting, challenging and rewarding position?

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure all products manufactured comply with legal, industry and customer food safety/quality systems requirements.

• Effectively manage a Quality Department consisting of Team leaders , Technicians, Technologists and support personnel to ensure its contribution to the business is maximised

• Be the key quality representative onsite and be part of the site's senior management group and the primary point of contact for quality-related issues, both internal and external.

• Drive reduction in complaint numbers, complaint meters, destructions %, internal quality defects and Integrated management system non-compliances and outstanding actions.

The candidate:
Degree qualified in a science/food science or quality-related discipline supported by a minimum of 5 years of quality management experience in a food/drink or similar process environment with a proven record of achievement.
Familiar with current food safety and quality system standards.
Qualified in Quality Assurance Management or equivalent.
Experience in managing quality within a 24/7, continuous high-speed
manufacturing environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to enable good communication across all levels and
disciplines.
Good organisational skills and responsiveness to urgent customer needs; may be required to travel to customer applications or suppliers at short notice.
