Quality Manager
Hamburg
I am recruiting for an industry leading food ingredients manufacturer with a global presence and looking to speak with candidates for an open quality manager position
Responsibilities:
•Leadership – Lead and develop Hamburg quality team, conduct training, performance reviews, establish and implement development plans with direct reports, assure succession plans and talent development
•Quality Assurance – Lead the implementation and development of Quality Assurance programs for food and feed products and deliver HH Quality KPI performance (FPC, COPQ, Audit, etc.)
•Compliance – Ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and customer requirements (food safety, certifications, hygiene, supplier approval programs)
•Laboratory Operations – Overall responsibility for effective laboratory operations and quality control
•EHS – Deliver EHS departmental programs and improvement plans and support site EHS awareness initiatives and programs to drive safety performance an awareness
•Customer Experience – Responsible for delivery of HH customer experience KPI’, complex customer quality complaint analysis, implement corrective action plans to achieve sustainable solutions and Effectively organize and conduct customer audits at Hamburg site
Requirements:
•University degree (MSc level) in food science, chemistry, lead auditor
•Long-term experience in food manufacturing operations, preferably in a Quality Assurance or technical role with team leadership skills
•Expert in food safety and food risk management systems, ideally with one international assignment
•Knowledge in microbiology, chemical/physical principles, and methods
•Significant food industry knowledge – food processing and food law
•Able to work across cultural dimensions, good influencer and internationally savvy
•Excellent German and English – verbal and written
