Job Advert: Quality Assurance Lead
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum + 10% matched pension
Shift: Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm

Responsibilities:
As the Quality Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control procedures to guarantee the production of safe, high-quality food products. Your main duties will include:
1.Quality Management: Develop, implement, and manage the company's quality assurance program to meet industry standards and regulations. Ensure all products comply with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
2.Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve quality control processes to enhance efficiency and minimize waste. Collaborate with production and R&D teams to optimize production processes.
3.Leadership: Lead a team of quality assurance technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. Foster a positive and motivated work environment to promote productivity and team spirit.
4.Audits and Inspections: Plan and conduct internal and external audits to evaluate adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance. Address any identified issues and implement corrective actions.
5.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality procedures, test results, and inspection reports. Generate regular reports for management review.
6.Supplier Management: Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials and components. Collaborate with them to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field is preferred.
•Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory position.
•Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRC) and quality management systems.
•Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in assessing product quality and compliance.
•Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Problem-Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
