Job Description

I am delighted to bring an opportunity to the market for a blue-chip, multi-million pound business. This is an opportunity for a supplier technologist. Experience leading or assisting in audits to a high-level is essential.

Your Responsibilities:
• Risk assessing, approving and monitoring suppliers and raw materials to ensure compliance with required quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Leading the supplier audit programme and conducting supplier audits
• Leading the supplier quality approval process
• Maintaining the approved supplier, service provider and contractor lists
• Supporting the internal audit programme and conducting internal audits
• Assessing new raw materials to ensure compliance with required quality standards and determine if fit for purpose
• Communication with suppliers, service providers and contractors
• Liaising with procurement and planning to ensure suppliers and raw materials are approved within a timely manner and comply with all required specifications
• Investigating and resolving any quality issues related to suppliers and/or raw materials, including out of specification results and deviations. To include liaising with suppliers and documenting and managing CAPA as required.
• Leading supplier review and trending meetings
• Managing supplier change notifications and associated change controls
• Implementing and periodic review of Quality and Technical Agreements for suppliers, services and contractors
• Maintaining awareness of legislative issues
• To ensure that the site health and safety policy & work procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Carrying out any work which the company may from time to time deem necessary.

Your Profile:
• Auditing experience
• Computer literate
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• A degree or equivalent qualification/higher education
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of working to a quality standard such as GMP, ISO9001 and/or a food safety standard
• Experience working in a quality assurance role
