Job Description

Our client is a successful food manufacturer with an exciting and innovative product range. The business is very dynamic and they are experiencing excellent growth, supplying quality food products to major retailers UK wide.

In partnership we are seeking to appoint a Quality Assurance Auditor to join their business in Newcastle.

The aim for the role is to ensure all finished product quality and safety complies with the agreed Customer specifications together with all legal and regulatory requirements. Carrying out specific checks in accordance with written procedures. Ensuring that records are completed accurately, in full and on time.

The role
Apply quality standards to ensure customer and legislative requirements are met.
Audit compliance against Quality Management Systems and GMP.
Ensure all product testing, organoleptic, micro, and chemical, is carried out according to the agreed schedule.
Support NPD trials and product launches, managing micro testing and product life assessment to ensure products are manufactured to the correct standard.


The candidate
A clear passion for food safety compliance is essential!
Previous food production quality assurance or technical experience is required.
You will also be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of HACCP, Quality Management Systems and GMP
Qualifications such as HACCP, Food Safety, Food Hygiene, Lead Auditor etc are all highly desirable.
You will be highly organised with good prioritisation skills, be an effective communicator plus be IT literate. A driving licence is required due to site location.

What’s on offer?
This is a salaried position circa £23,000 d.o.e.
The role requires candidates to be able to work across a rotation shift pattern, covering morning, afternoon and nights, Monday through to Saturday with 2 days of per week.
