My client is currently looking for a Quality Control Manager.

To manage and co-ordinate the daily running of the Quality Control function.
To maintain and control all recipes (bulk recipes on both ERP and PLC) and ensure that the correct recipes are used by production.
To control rework/disposal, etc. of Non-Conforming Stock and with the help of others ensure the NCS level is kept to an absolute minimum.
To effectively manage and maintain documented systems in accordance with agreed GFSI standards and customer COP.
Support the QC Team Leader to ensure personnel are suitably trained and skilled to carry out their function.
To maintain factory standards suitable for ‘safe food production’ and work closely with the production manager on continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee product complaints investigations and outcomes – identify root cause and co-ordinate corrective actions
Carryout Internal Quality Audits, Hygiene Audits & HACCP Audits
QC systems support/development for IFS
Quality contact of quality plans for contract management clients
To identify effective KPI metrics and ensure robust monitoring and review.
Ensure conformance with all customer policies and specifications elements – to communicate such records internally
Science related education, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience and ability to manage people, processes, and technology
Food Industry Codes of Practice
HACCP & Hygiene related qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a function, preferably in food manufacturing
Experience in Thermal Processing
Working knowledge /understanding of British Retail Consortium – Global Standard for Food Safety
