ROLE

Job Purpose:

Supervising a team within a food manufacturing environment. Ensuring machines are; correctly set-up and clean, product is; produced to the correct specification and required quality, weighed, packaged, sealed, and labelled correctly.

Main Responsibilities:

? Manage a team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
? Management of your teams KPI's
? Machine set-up
? Support, training, development and mentoring of your team
? Ensuring all health and safety protocols are understood and followed
? Ensure Good Manufacturing Standards (GMP) are adhered to at all times
? Supporting the business in: right first time (RFT), continuous improvement and minimizing wastage and
downtime
? Maintaining production/ product checks and sampling to ensure they are checked for quality/ defects/
date coding/ labelling
? Continuous quality checking to ensure products are being manufactured to the correct specification,
product seal checks, bar codes checks and verification, best before end date, label alignment, code
positioning, accuracy and readable, equipment checks such as metal detection and check weigher
? Supporting the production managing in problem solving/ completing root cause analysis
? Set the example for team
? Coordinate the team and daily schedule
? Ensure targets are met within agreed timescale and great standards
? Support Production Manager with appraisals and implementation of SOP’s
? Any other reasonable duties associated with the role

CANDIDATE

Would suit someone currently running a machine or working on a line in food production ready to step up.

4 weeks holiday, plus bank holidays, plus an extra day for every year of service (capped at 1 week)

No weekends
Company events

Mon – Thurs 6am-6pm. (44 hour working week).
