Production Supervisor, East Scotland

Job Description

My award-winning client is currently looking for a production supervisor/manager who is passionate about food production and enjoys a fast-paced, hands on environment with lots of autonomy. They are growing at a very fast rate and have large plans for the future that they want you to be a key part of! The role:

• Oversee a small production team producing some of the country’s favourite food products, including very high grade.
• Plan production, assuring sufficient ingredients and stock rotation always
• Inventory management and ordering of stock
• Accountable for the quality of product, adhering to tight customer specifications
• Responsible for ensuring the despatch of products OTIF
• Accountable for H&S, hygiene and HACCP compliance
• Full people management of your staff, handling holidays etc

The candidate:

• Food production experience within a leadership position is essential – a relevant qualification would be very advantageous
• Highly self-motivated and take ownership whilst motivating a team towards a collective goal in a fast-paced production environment
• Used to handling large amounts of documentation, excellent organisation and written communication is needed for this role
• Demonstrable experience of promoting a positive culture of technical, hygiene and H&S compliance
• Great attention to detail, with a focus on quality and customer service – take genuine pride in your work
• Remain calm under pressure, able to make key business impacting decisions daily
