ROLE

This is a pivotal role in the organisation where the individual will act as an effective change leader in ensuring the seamless functioning of production processes while championing both product quality and food safety. This is a key people leadership role where the ability to effectively resource manage, lead people with dignity, maintain high level of skills development and flexibility and carry out the people elements of the business plan are paramount. Continual Improvement and fact based management through the use of Data and Company KPIs are key foundations of the business.

Responsibilities:

1. Quality Oversight:
• Actively engage in strategies that prioritize the continual improvement of both product quality and food safety, with a focus on setting and surpassing department-specific KPIs.
• Implement initiatives that not only elevate general quality standards but also uphold stringent measures for food safety, ensuring production output consistently meets or exceeds established benchmarks.
2. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to their production department, with a primary focus on quality and food safety metrics.
• Drive initiatives to address any deviations from established KPIs, working closely with the team to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Foster a performance-driven culture by communicating the significance of KPIs, providing regular feedback to the team, and recognizing and rewarding achievements that contribute to exceeding targets.
3. Shift Co-ordination:
• Assume responsibility for effective shift planning, with a keen focus on maintaining a responsive and efficient production environment that adheres to rigorous food safety standards.
• Manage staffing levels to meet both production demands and stringent quality and food safety targets, fostering a streamlined workflow.
4. Continuous Improvement:
• Work with the Manufacturing Manager in driving initiatives for continuous improvement within the production department, with a particular emphasis on advancing food safety measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, innovative technologies, and methodologies to achieve and surpass quality-related KPIs, giving due consideration to food safety standards.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Apply comprehensive data analysis for informed decision-making in production management, placing specific emphasis on data related to both quality and food safety.
• Proactively manage and enhance production quality and food safety through the implementation of data-driven strategies derived from comprehensive analysis.

CANDIDATE

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a leadership role. Food Manufacturing expereince is not essential but you will have demonstrable working experience with KPIs and continuous improvement methodology

Hours – DAY SHIFT: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, repeat,. 6am – 6:.30pm – 40 hours

7 days off every 2 weeks, working a weekend every 2 weeks

Overtime – paid at time and a half
