This is an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner to join one of Scotland’s well-known Food Manufacturing Companies.
This role is based in the North of Scotland – a more specific location is available on the application.
The Role
The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling production and will work as part of a team who are focused on ensuring production efficiency and satisfying the needs of our customers. To achieve this the post holder will work closely and in conjunction with the production, commercial and buying teams. They will also be required to have a sound knowledge of the Company’s products and manufacturing methods, and have the ability to manage a busy and demanding production schedule.
Key Responsibilities
? Scheduling production in a manner that ensures the most efficient use of the production lines i.e., minimal line change overs and bearing in mind machine and allergen restrictions and stock levels.
? Collating sales order data relating to products and using this to create daily/weekly production plans.
? Communicating production plans to the relevant parties.
? Monitoring stock levels and ensuring all are in line with required levels to meet customer demand.
? Analysing and forecasting demand and creating short- and long-term factory production plans.
? Update the company ERP system Unity, with new and amended plans to allow visibility for procurement.
? Supporting senior members of staff as and when required.

Experience:
? Previous production planning experience would be beneficial.
? Previous experience of working within the food industry would be advantageous.
Education/Qualifications:
? Ideally educated to a HNC/HND level or equivalent.
Hours of Work
? The hours of work will be from 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
? On occasions there will be a requirement for the post holder to be flexible with their working hours to fit with the needs of the business.
