Production Planner, South West England

Salary: Negotiable
Sector: Supply Chain
Location: South West England
Job type: Permanent

Job Description

It seems that every job advert says it's "an exciting opportunity" or "an exciting time to join". There is rarely anything to back that up in the rest of the advert, is there?

How about a newly-created Production Planning role with a company already on the journey from single-site SME approach to a proper "Process and Systems" planning department with £six-figure investment in planning technology already mapped out?

A job with two clearly defined progression pathways for someone; either Supply Chain Planning (a Senior Planner role) or a move into Demand Planning?

What about working for a Planning Manager who already has a succession plan in place and gets their professional satisfaction from up-skilling / cross-skilling people in the team?

That's a bit more than just "exciting opportunity", isn't it?

The person who will get this job is currently, or was recently, in a planning role of some sort for a manufacturer that produces in batches or production runs.

This person could be already using MRP / ERP systems to plan or maybe just uses spreadsheets but wants to learn a more sophisticated process.

It's based on site 4 days a week, so you will have to be based in or around Somerset; but it is 0730 – 1600hrs Monday to Friday, so hopefully the roads will be a bit less busy than the normal "office hours" commute.

£25,000 – £30,000, bonus of up to £3,000 (paid last two years), very generous pension, 33 days holiday (inc statutory days), private medical and dental and other perks.

If this sounds good and you want to be part of a planning department that is developing and improving all the time, then click apply and I will call you to discuss.
