Production Planner, North East Scotland
Job Description
Our client is a successful FMCG business that are growing and dynamic with an exciting branded and OL product range supplying major retailers and food service establishments.
You will be responsible for working alongside the supply chain team, to ensure Production is scheduled and effective throughout the business. Working closely with other departments and teams, looking at forecasting and ensuring materials, resources, and anything else needed, is on-site and ready for Production.
Ultimately the role is pivotal to ensuring that Production is maintained, efficient and effective on a day-to-day basis.
Key responsibilities:
Updating and Communicating orders internally
Generating cutting plan weekly
Kitting list and Daily plan for Production and communicated.
Preparation of Daily plan detailing retail packing and frozen orders.
Co-ordination of incoming orders via EDI/Fax and Consignment requests
Managements of Stock holding of WIP and Manufactured goods to agreed levels
In Long term, preparation of weekly plan detailing:
? Coating lines
? Cutting lines
? Recipe Room
Daily Frozen order review and Transport arrangement.
Presentation and distribution of plan and Changes.
Active communication of plan changes and responsible for plan changes.
Focus on Scanning and Variances
Stock availability Review and Communicate if any issues.
The candidate:
To be successful, you will have experience in production planning within a fast-paced environment, ideally from a Food industry background or FMCG.
You must be adaptive, proactive, and passionate about making sure that operations are running effectively.
Exposure to forecasting would be highly advantageous, but not necessary.
Being flexible, hard-working, and ambitious, will set you in good stead as the business looks to develop.
