Position: Production Planner

Are you a highly organised, detail-oriented individual looking to make your mark in production planning? We're seeking a dynamic Production Planner to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our production schedules run smoothly. You'll be part of a collaborative environment, working closely with the Procurement, Production, and Sales teams to meet customer demands while optimising efficiency and minimising costs.
Position Overview
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for maintaining the Master Production Schedule, scheduling and prioritising production work orders, and ensuring our products are delivered on time. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-moving manufacturing environment where your contributions will directly impact operational success.
Key Responsibilities
• Master Production Scheduling: Update and maintain the Master Production Schedule, aligning with customer orders and forecasts.
• Production Support: Issue picks, batch sheets, and stock replenishment forms to Warehouse & Production Teams ahead of production dates.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with Procurement, Production, and Sales teams to ensure production plans are in line with business needs.
• Impact Review: Collaborate with Production Managers to assess and address any changes that affect job due dates, keeping all relevant teams informed.
• ERP/MRP Systems: Ensure accurate and timely data entry into planning systems, such as CIM50 or SAP, maintaining up-to-date information.
• Inventory Management: Monitor raw material and finished goods stock levels to meet production and customer requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Support ongoing process improvements, enhancing production flow and stock accuracy.
• Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management, tracking key production metrics, and identifying areas for improvement.
Person Specification
• Production Planning Expertise: A strong understanding of production planning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
• ERP/MRP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems such as CIM50 or SAP is required.
• Excel Mastery: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze data effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities.
• Team Collaboration: A team player with the ability to work effectively across departments.
