Production Manager, Berwickshire
Job Description
Our client, one of the leading heavy FMCG manufacturers in its sector have notified us of an opening at their site in the Scottish Borders. Currently seeking an experienced production manager with 5+ years exposure to production management in managing large teams. Heavy manufacturing experience is essential for the successful candidate.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Liaise with all internal stakeholders to ensure quality, safety and production targets are achieved
• Provide leadership, direction and motivation to ensure all manufacturing staff are able to achieve results in line with the business plan and department’s objectives
• Promote an atmosphere of continuous improvement
• Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Department to achieve year on year OEE improvement
• Drive a quality positive environment
• Work actively with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
• Participate in customer visits as, and when required
• Regular updates on tier 1 board
• Attend tier 2 meetings daily
• Attend tier 3 meetings weekly
Candidate Requirements
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in the paper making industry
• Organisational skills
• Computer literate
• Leadership skills
• Strong communication skills
• Presentation skills
• Preferably educated to degree level
