Main Purpose of the job:

The Product Implementation Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of multiple projects and requires the ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels of the business. Working alongside another Product Development Manager, this role will involve managing cross-functional project teams in multiple locations, providing active and dedicated project management for the delivery of NPD, Innovation and EPD from project approval to production.
Projects are wide-ranging, covering branded and own label development, and include the introduction of new pack formats, packaging redesigns, and launching product innovation.

Main duties:
• Responsible for the successful implementation of branded and own label product development projects through the company process from approval to launch.
• Maintain strong project governance, traceability, and accountability across projects
• Create and manage critical paths; ensuring product scopes and plans are outlined with timeframes and responsibilities. Ensure project deadlines are met.
• Build positive internal and external relationships and effectively motivate and manage project teams to ensure that projects are delivered successfully
• Support business case development for key projects which clearly defines the project scope and benefits/ROI; captures and evaluates all associated costs for set-up, delivery, and on-going support, and details the timelines from feasibility to completion
• Work with co-packers and internal teams to deliver out-sourced production of new products, ensuring they meet all packaging, technical and supply chain requirements.
• Provide timely and informative progress updates to key stakeholders to report progress against programme and budget and to enable robust decision making throughout projects
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, plan and implement appropriate mitigations, assign risk owners, and effectively manage issues that arise throughout projects
• Evaluate projects, following implementation, to capture lessons learned, and ensure project benefits are fully realised

Key skills and requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years post-graduate work experience including 3 years in a food/drink project Management roles
• Experience working within FMCG food manufacturing sectors essential.
• Experience delivering co-packed manufacturing projects highly desirable.
• Highly motivated, self-starter, flexible and is able to respond quickly under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex, and fast-moving, projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills – oral, written and presentation.
• Structured and methodical project management skills, with experience organising and chairing meetings.
• Experience and knowledge of delivering effective customer-orientated services desirable.
• Effective leadership skills. Ability to lead and create a clear common purpose amongst the members of the sub-project teams
• Good knowledge of methodologies and techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling projects
• The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems

WHILE THIS ROLE CAN IN PART BE PERFOMRED REMOTELY, DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE ROLE, THERE IS ALSO A STRONG REQUIREMENT FOR THE ROLE TO BE UNDERTAKEN ON SITE AT THE CLIENTS HQ IN CENTRAL SCOTLAND.
