Job Description

Our client is a Market leading FMCG business based in North West London.
A vacancy has been identified for a Planning Manager to manage the day to day planning function as a central point and co-ordinate supply chain (i.e. production, procurement and logistics).
*Note the required days of work for this role are Sunday - Thursday *

The Role:
• Effectively plan production considering all possible bottlenecks within site and issue daily/weekly plans, including Schedule by shift using agreed KPI’s and site planning systems to meet targeted customer service level, ensuring optimum capacity is fully utilised whilst maintaining labour and minimising yield waste and disposal.
• Ensure space is available through off-loading pallets to off-site cold storage when necessary and manage movements with logistic co-ordinator and supply chain supervisor.
• Provide raw material requirement to supply chain supervisor to enable correct availability to execute plan as required.
• Forecasting – Update and manage 3 week’s production capacity considering all bottle-necks (i.e. capacity, storage etc)
• Labour Resource Management – Organise & manage agency labour requirement in co-ordination with shift managers.
• Plan Attainment – Monitor production performance at regular intervals throughout the day, amend, communicate if required.
• Leadership – Provide all support to production where planning function is involved.
• Teamwork Coordination – Give direction and co-ordinate plans with production, logistics, Supply Chain Supervisor and any other related department to ensure all are aligned to plans, (i.e. collection of goods and availability of goods at the right time, right place)

The Candidate:
• Experience in Planning function
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written
• Organised and able to co-ordinate
• Think clearly under pressure
• Excel Skills and general IT skills
• Able to add value, influence and manage change
• Food production experience desirable
