NPI Project Manager – South Wales

I'm currently working with a world leader in Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical manufacture. They are looking for an experienced project manager to join their team.

The Project Manager will lead a cross-functional project team and is accountable for the successful delivery of products from business award, execution through to closure of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for leading a cross-functional project team to successfully introduce new products into the site operation by using effective project management cross functional people management and project planning skills.
Responsible for communication with the customer in relation to receipt of new product briefs, clarification of brief with reference to formulae, testing requirements, packaging, sampling and timescales.
Responsible for communication with the Corporate Sales team in relation to quotation of new products (cost of goods & conversion cost).
Accountable for the coordination of technical feasibility and manufacturing trials and ensuring any trial reports are generated and corrective actions from the trial are implemented.
Accountable for ensuring all aspects of the project are available on time from system set up to replenishment of orders. Aspects include, but are not limited to the input of data into the ERP system for the creation of BOMs, specifications, material costs, routings, raw and packaging materials availability, change parts and the development of product barcode labels and management of the customer approval process.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Critical Path Analyses and action plans and ensuring that customers are regularly updated on the progress of projects and any issues, risks and decisions are highlighted, communicated and mitigated in a timely manner.
Responsible for obtaining necessary information from customers to enable internal safety assessments to be carried out (packaging specifications, artworks, manufacturing Safety Data Sheets, manufacturing processes).
Accountable for the assessment of of changes in customer briefs, processes or guidelines and the associated communication and actions within the business
Accountable for ensuring that project reviews take place and corrective actions are completed prior to handover to the replenishment phase.
