ROLE

Purpose

In this role you will support the NPD Manager in development and innovation of products for the business, liaising with all departments to ensure products and services are supplied within agreed specification.

Key Responsibilities

– Creating ideas for future trends from internal and external briefs in-line with business strategy
– Keep up to date with key development trends within the food industry
– Develop and oversee the production of food stuffs
– Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers, external contacts, and colleagues
– Assignment and prioritisation of new briefs in cross functional fashion
– Log and prioritise briefs with the cross-function fashion
– Prepare recipes and action plan with the NPD Manager using nutritional’s and specifications
– Manage step by step development
– Prepare bench scale samples, review with customers, and organize shipment
– Organise and lead factory trials
– Contribute to HACCP and hygiene, GMP for the site and NPD

CANDIDATE

– Proven experience of working in an NPD or Technical environment and ideally be educated to degree level in Food Science
– Food Safety qualifications are essential
– PC literate
– Communication, internal/external, verbal and written
– Able to plan and organise work efficiently and effectively
– Able to operate under pressure and to short deadlines
– Able to work effectively as either part of a team or as an individual
– Flexible (time & task)
– Excellent attention to detail that reflects thorough and accurate work
– Excellent written and verbal communication

Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:00 and Friday 08:00 – 15:00
