Our client, are a leading supplier in the baking, confectionery, and hot drinks markets, supplying approximately 500 SKUs to all UK retailers in brand and own-label categories. Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end NPD projects, from concept to launch.
• Develop and implement a robust system to monitor and control NPD launches.
• Generate new blue sky ideas for product innovation.
• Collaborate effectively with sales, technical, and logistics teams to ensure project success.
• Work closely with suppliers on new material sourcing and technical details.
• Provide product support to the sales team during customer visits.
• Manage large manufacturing projects and support CAPEX installations.
• Collaborate with NPD technologists to ensure effective project management.
• Assume NPD department responsibilities in the absence of the NPD Manager.
• Coordinate with other factories within the group for successful product launches.
• Plan and oversee factory trials in coordination with relevant departments.
Requirements:
• Highly motivated individual with a proactive approach to project ownership and management.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects forward in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Food Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of industry experience in the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing commercial principles.
• Familiarity with European and US markets is advantageous.
• Good understanding of supermarket brand standards and processes.
