Job Description

Our client, are a leading supplier in the baking, confectionery, and hot drinks markets, supplying approximately 500 SKUs to all UK retailers in brand and own-label categories. A true market leader in their niche with significant growth in recent years. As the business grows, it continues to focus on increasing range and market share in the UK and European markets through innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end NPD projects, from concept to launch.
• Develop and implement a robust system to monitor and control NPD launches.
• Generate new blue sky ideas for product innovation.
• Collaborate effectively with sales, technical, and logistics teams to ensure project success.
• Work closely with suppliers on new material sourcing and technical details.
• Provide product support to the sales team during customer visits.
• Manage large manufacturing projects and support CAPEX installations.
• Collaborate with NPD technologists to ensure effective project management.
• Assume NPD department responsibilities in the absence of the NPD Manager.
• Coordinate with other factories within the group for successful product launches.
• Plan and oversee factory trials in coordination with relevant departments.

Requirements:

• Highly motivated individual with a proactive approach to project ownership and management.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects forward in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Food Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of industry experience in the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing commercial principles.
• Familiarity with European and US markets is advantageous.
• Good understanding of supermarket brand standards and processes.
