National Account Manager – Retail
FMCG Food Business
A market leading food business are looking to appoint a NAM to identify and manage current retail relationships.
South Wales/Herefordshire – Remote/Hybrid
Purpose of the role
Managing current retail relationships to deliver budgeted volume, revenue and margin in Wales. Responsible for the listings and activation, filling distribution gaps and promotional activity. Also accountable for negotiating business plans with key customers.
Key responsibilities
• Key point of contact with a day-to-day basis with number of customers dealing with any issues relating to supply, orders and forecasting.
• Make category and data-based recommendations on customer opportunities.
• Business reporting for monthly / annual planning and reviews with internal and external stakeholders
• Work closely with the Head of Commercial and their team to use insights to drive profitable growth.
• Work closely with the Marketing department and align the brand and retailer strategy.
• Live by the business’s values & beliefs – Doing the right thing!
Skills and experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross functionally with other departments.
• Ability to use data and insights to create corrective plans.
• Well-developed organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Financial awareness and commercial acumen
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage their own timetable and deliver results.
• Proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint will be required.
• A good understanding of Morrisons/ASDA/Waitrose and the retail channel and associated route to market.

Salary / Package
Circa £55k + Bonus
