Job Description

We are currently working with a leading producer of chilled products suppling into the retailer sector. Due to constant growth they are looking to strengthen the Technical team with the appointment of a Technical Asssitant

Working a Mon-Friday day shift basis you will be required to assist in maintaining all quality assurance activity by ensuring that products manufactured and supplied by the company are safe, legal and meet customer expectations including supporting production in regards good manufacturing practices in the factory in accordance with the company procedures and BRC standards.
Your key responsibility will include but not limited too:

•Conducting quality assessments of raw materials during internal processing using specifications
•Ensure that no defective product goes forward in the process.
•Manage the quality assurance practices and records ensuring full quality and food safety standards meet required objectives
•Ensure all finished products meet specification
•Investigate all non-conformances
•Report all incorrect manufacturing practices, food safety or H&S inaccuracies
•Conduct required testing, adhering to full site safety and hygiene parameters
•Responsible for GMP audits
•Complete daily production line inspections
•Complete daily stock checks
•Sample all raw materials


The ideal candidate will hold
•Formal qualification in Food Manufacturing / Quality OR other related subject areas eg. Food / Food Science / Food Technology OR experience and knowledge gained from a similar / closely related role.
•Working knowledge / experience of conducting quality assessments using specifications.
•Knowledge / experience of dealing with retail customers in a customer facing role.
•Motivated self - starter with positive approach.
•Extremely well organised, with excellent attention to detail.

The working hours will be shift based Monday to Friday working early and normal finish
