Merchandise Planner - Homeware

My client, is now looking to break into the UAE market place and are looking for experienced Merchandise Planners for their general merchandise / Homeware .
You will assume all responsibility for financial results that drive sales, inventory, and bottom line profitability. Ensure location assortments reflect appropriate product categories, lifestyle statements and inventory levels. Manage product allocation and replenishment systems and processes. Perform other duties as assigned.
•Follows Food Division Best Practices.
•Overall support of the department sales, gross margin and turnover objectives.
•Identify and aggressively drive sales opportunities by location in partnership with Buying team.
•Develop plans, in coordination with National and District Merchant Teams to maximize sales by location to be used in developing topside financial plans.
•Develop and plan appropriate turn by location to be used as departmental financial turn.
•Develop assortment and buy plans by location that support financial plan, working closely with Buying team.
•Monitor and manage store receipt, inventory and sales levels.
•Analyze sell through, monthly flow (sales, receipts, markdowns and EOM stock).
•Ensure appropriate stock levels and ownership by location.
•Develop seasonal replenishment plans that are aligned with departmental financial plans.
•Maintain collaborative partnerships and negotiate effectively with vendors and internal colleagues.
•Meet highest standards of workplace safety, sanitation, and equipment care as set by Health Department and company policy.
Desired Skills and Experience
•Computer literacy in MS office and integrated Planning system
•Knowledge of production environment
•Ability to efficiently work independent as well as in a team environment
•Ability to be flexible and offer creative solutions in a fast paced environment
•Excellent interpersonal, analytical and logical thinking skills
•Strong writing skills
•Strong verbal communication skills
•Experience in working for a retailer
•Experience within general Meerchandise /Homeware
Education and Work Experience:
•Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Operations preferred and/or 3 to 5 year experience in related field
•Knowledge of production planning in a manufacturing environment
•Knowledge of Sales and Operations planning.
