Materials & Production Planner
Are you a detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience in planning within manufacturing? We have an exciting opportunity for a Materials & Production Planner to join our team. As the Materials & Production Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials and packaging to meet production demands, maintaining accurate stock records, and creating production plans. Key Responsibilities:
Calculate the materials and packaging required to meet production plans.
Place purchase orders with suppliers for materials and packaging replenishment.
Verify and book incoming orders onto the JDE system.
Support the provision of stable and effective production plans to meet customer demand forecasts.
Generate accurate reports to communicate any potential risks to service levels.
Create egg usage schedules to align with the production plan.
Escalate significant risks and potential impacts on customer service to ensure proactive resolution.
Verify finished goods quantities before dispatch.
Maintain accurate stock records of finished goods on the JDE system.
Record dispatches on the JDE system.
Person Specification:
Confident working with numbers and managing large volumes of data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Possess a methodical mindset and an analytical approach.
Previous experience in planning within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets for data manipulation.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Understanding of chilled food manufacturing processes.
Level 2 or above Food Safety certification is advantageous.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
Prioritize safety in all tasks and be vigilant for the safety of colleagues.
Only operate machinery for which you have received proper training.
Adhere to correct manual handling procedures.
Report any health and safety concerns promptly.
Product Safety Responsibilities:
Completion of all 4 elements of the Lion Training Passport is advantageous.
Comply with hygiene and product safety procedures.
Report any product safety concerns promptly.
Salary Range: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience).
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off.
Shift Times: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
