Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: North Lincolnshire, United Kingdom

Shift: Double Day Shift (5am-2pm / 1pm – 10pm)

Salary: £42,000 per annum

With a strong reputation built on excellence and sustainability, they continue to expand their operations and are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our team in North Lincolnshire.

Position Overview:

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production equipment and machinery. Working on a double day shift, you will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime, maximizing productivity, and ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production equipment and machinery.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Collaborate with the production team to optimize machinery performance and troubleshoot operational issues.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians or maintenance personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements:

qualification in Engineering, ideally time-served apprenticeship (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Proven experience as an Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, including conveyors, packaging machines, pumps, and motors.
Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to working safely at all times.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A can do attitude, self-starter, who isn't afraid to stand on their own 2 feet
