A renowned and reputable food manufacturing company are seeking a highly skilled and well rounded maintenance engineer to join their team. If you are passionate about engineering and have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

You will be joining a company with a great family culture as they really do look after their engineers and are incredibly receptive of any concerns or opinions that a member of staff may have. Upon joining,your ability to respond promptly to breakdowns and efficiently minimize production downtime will be crucial day to day.

Salary:£40K

Shift: Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm with the ability to work overtime

Location: Inverclyde

RegularHolidays: 2 weeks in March, 9 days for Christmas, 2 weeks in July

A successful candidate should have/be:

-Qualified to HNC/HND level or equivalent within a relevant mechanical discipline or possess similar experience to be able to diagnose faults, repair and fine tune mechanical equipment.

-Experience working in a high pressure manufacturing environment as well as experience with the following machinery: steam boilers, compressors, pumps, valves, conveyors, weighing equipment.

-Preferably have qualified to 17th edition IET electrical regulation(not mandatory)

-Machine shop expertise as well as demonstrable experience of driving equipment process improvements within a manufacturing environment
