Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our fast-paced FMCG manufacturing facility based in South Cumbria. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to the production schedule.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment history.
Coordinate with external vendors for the procurement of spare parts and equipment as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies throughout all maintenance activities.
Requirements:
Time Served Apprenticeship in an Engineering Discipline
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the FMCG industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting machinery and equipment issues.
Experience in performing preventive maintenance tasks and managing maintenance schedules.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to maintenance activities.
