Essential Functions And Responsibilities:
Identifies and ensures that proper materials are used for production
Completes proper checking of production and material
Loads material on machine and threads material over tension bars.
Starts machine and observes flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and/or winding.
Disengages winding shaft and removes finished rolls of material.
Completes required documentation accurately and timely.
Reports any unsafe working conditions to the Production Supervisor.
Participates in on-going training opportunities and supports a continuous quality improvement environment.
Handling up to 2 tonnes of reels off the machine in a shift is the physically demanding part of the role. We will train you to run the machinery and also to drive FLT as this is essential.
You will ideally have previous experience working in a production or warehouse environment although applications are welcome from candidates who have worked in labour orientated roles.
Work is shift based; Mon- Fri 6AM – 2PM or 2PM – 10PM weekly rotating with occasional weekends required as overtime.
Bonus scheme which would be expected to pay in the region of £2-3K annually
