To aid in their ongoing growth and development, a very well-established bakery business in Yorkshire are looking to bring on board a Process and Packaging Manager to work specifically out of one of their branded facilities.
In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for the site packaging and process teams and the driving of innovation, efficiency and quality within them. Their will be 4 direct reports, 2 process technicians and packaging technicians.
An individuals ability to liaise with key stakeholders will be key to this unique opportunity and the application of strong practical know-how and project and people management will be a big part also.
The role will be the focal point of contact with site based R&D teams (Process Technology, Packaging Development and Ingredient Technology) NPD and Marketing.
The key purposes of the role are:
To develop and manage a site-specific programme of Cost Base Release (CBR), New Product Development, Procurement initiative implementation and continuous product, packaging and process improvement.
To champion and deliver sustained improvements in manufacturing process efficiency, consistency and quality at the site.
To enhance technical competence across site based teams through coaching & training and through the effective leadership, management & development of the site based Process & Packaging team.
Ideally, the successful candidate will possess a degree in food, science, manufacturing or engineering.
A minimum of a green belt level in six sigma / lean sigma
Change management experience
Previous experience within a bakery environment would be preferred

The role is looking to pay around £50,000 plus a competitive package.
