Laboratory Technician, Newport

Job Description

Carrying out established test procedures for quality control of products to a high degree of accuracy
and repeatability
? Compiling reports of test results and updating records on system
? Thoroughly cleaning down equipment and work area after testing
? Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
? Ensure all products are properly labelled and stored
? Ensure In-Process Sheets and Log Books are maintained
? Perform calibration on equipment, such as scales and spectrophotometer, according to the relevant
procedure and at required frequencies
? Maintaining laboratory supply of consumable items and re-stocking as needed .
? Periodic archiving of older documentation
? Must be able to work with high level of safety standard and keep the work area tidy and safe
? Training will be provided on site
