Job Description

My client are a rapidly growing, dynamic, multi-cultural, market-leading business. They are a manufacturer of Household name products within the food sector supplying to major retailers and a swathe of other notable clients.

This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a hands-on, quality focused individual with excellent comminication skills. Candidates should also have a keen interest in food with a head for management of teams within quality.

Main responsibilities:

Managing all activities related to laboratory testing.
Evaluate resources, processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement both technical and financially and identify growth opportunities.
Performing laboratory tests as required.
Validation of test results.
Managing and training laboratory technicians.
Keeping the laboratory organized and in compliance with internal and external LAB CRED accreditation.
Keeping up to date with advances in food testing.
Line management for laboratory team – completion of appraisals and further developing a department training matrix.
Monthly reporting of financial performance, staffing and forward planning.
Support site with root cause investigations and corrective cations implementation.
