Senior Buyer/ Purchaser

I am recruiting for an exciting family run company in the Netherlands who have been going for over 50 years, they product a range of dried ingredients in to a range of applications including meat, poultry, alternative proteins and food, fish to name a few.
I am looking to speak with candidates for a buyer position, experience across any food or ingredients would work however we are looking for candidates with a minimum 2 years’ experience within buying/purchasing. This is a full-time on-site position, happy to share location on discussion.
Purpose of the function
Responsibilities
• Ensures optimal purchasing (according to specifications) of new raw materials, machines, services and materials.
• Source new suppliers for portfolio.
• Follows the raw materials market and is a specialist of raw materials belonging to his portfolio and its suppliers.
• Takes care of the relationship management with suppliers belonging to his portfolio and with branch organizations.
• Negotiates with suppliers and concludes contracts with suppliers in consultation with management.
• Manages the stock of raw materials and packaging materials through the ERP system. Coordinates physical control and signaling with the Logistics Manager.
• Calls raw materials and packaging materials in the warehouse based on production planning. Ensures efficient planning, for unloading raw materials.
• Coordinate this with the relevant departments.
• Handles delivery complaints and delivery problems in consultation with the QA department.
• Performs operational procurement tasks.
• Administers and processes incoming raw material samples and pre shipment samples.
Powers
• Calling raw materials from contract
• < € 100,000.00 independently Ordering raw materials > € 100,000.00 in consultation with Director Purchasing, contracting always in consultation
Experience/ qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a buyer within food
Command of Dutch, German and English in speech and writing
