Job Description
My client has created a new role for an experienced hygiene manager to join their rapidly expanding business in the Scottish Borders. You MUST have experience leading a hygiene function.
Reporting to and liaising with senior management, you will lead daily plans to completion, seeking to achieve process improvements and increase engagement to a hygiene culture. This is a vital role within the business.
The role:
· Develop and maintain work instructions and cleaning schedules, completing all relevant documentation
· Ensure compliance with internal and external legislation
· Ensure appropriate labour in place as required, and planning/deployment of labour is maintained
· Escalate any issues to the relevant persons
· Lead daily and weekly briefs
· Maintain and improve on hygiene standards and practices
· Control training matrix to make sure all staff are adequately prepared to achieve all targets
The candidate:
· Experience in a food/FMCG production environment
· Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels
· Confident working within a dynamic and stressful environment
· Ability to give instruction and delegate responsibly
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Excellent attention to detail always
