The Role
As the HR Manager, you will work closely with Line Managers up to Department and Area Manager level, providing expert HR advice and ensuring seamless HR operations across the full employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in driving communication, engagement, and compliance with HR policies, while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partnership & Improvement: Collaborate with Line Managers to address people-related issues, advise on key HR decisions, and lead change initiatives to drive improvement. Attend operational meetings as a functional partner.
• Talent Acquisition: Work closely with the Central HR team to support recruitment efforts, ensuring we attract top talent through innovative strategies. Build relationships with local partners such as schools, Job Centres, and community organizations to support a strong talent pipeline.
• HR Standards & Compliance: Ensure all HR activities align with legal requirements and company values. Play a central role in managing audits and maintaining high standards of labour and ethical practices.
• HR Systems & Processes: Manage absence processes, ensure timely and accurate HR administration, and keep our HR systems up to date. Provide support to ensure the business operates smoothly.
• Employee Relations: Support Employee Forums and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Manage employee relations cases consistently, ensuring fair and compliant outcomes, and share your expertise across the HR team.
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in Human Resources, with a track record of influencing change and implementing HR policies.
• Customer-focused, energetic, and adaptable, with a proactive approach to solving problems before they arise.
• Strong knowledge of UK Employment Legislation and case management experience.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing demands.
• Resilient, self-sufficient, and ready to make a real impact by driving positive change.
