ROLE
Key responsibilities:
• To manage absence and sickness
• Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all
positions
• Engaging with employees showing collaborative, flexible culture in which employees have
opportunity to achieve their full potential and make a difference
• Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by training Managers
to coach and discipline employees
• Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the Company
• Recruiting staff-this includes developing job descriptions and personal specifications,
preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting
candidates
• To plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude towards
Company goals
• Investigating and conducting disciplinary hearings
• Maintaining personnel files and employee records
• Interpreting and advising on employment law and ensuring compliance
• Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
• Educating and developing the Managers, Supervisors and Charge Hands understanding of
HR law
• Planning and sometimes delivering training-including inductions for new staff
CANDIDATE
You will have previous experience working in HR. You may come from any industry background. CIPD level 3 as a minimum is essential for this role. Our client is a well established Manufacturer and can offer good stability coupled with clear opportunities for career progression!
Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 8-4:30pm, 8:30-5pm
