Job Description

Our client, one of the leading manufacturers in it's FMCG category has notified us of an opening at their site in Cumbria. They're looking for a Head of Quality to join the team of 130 at their factory. This is an excellent opportunity for those who thrive off driving continuous improvement on site and who are very experienced in a GXP environment.

Job Responsibilities

Manage the Quality Assurance team, Laboratory, Microbiology and quality systems.
Leading and Managing 3rd party audits and internal audits.
Implementing product quality and HACCP training, environmental monitoring program, change control system, good documentation practice, validation program and all quality system requirements.
Managing the maintenance of product batch files.
Overseeing all plant HACCP, pre requisite quality programs and all the quality/food safety programs to meet food safety requirements.
Implementing a CAPA program and ensure plant audit corrective action plans are implemented in an efficient & timely manner.
Identifying quality compliance risks proactively and working with onsite leadership to create and implement mitigation plans.

Expectations of the Candidate

BSc in Food science, Microbiology, biotech or pharma discipline.
8+ years experience in GXP environments.
4+ years in a supervisiory role having indirect and direct reports.
Experience in Fod Safety, HACCP, cGMP in a high care environment.
Experience in developing and managing budgets.
Experience in implementing UK and EU Food Safety and compliance regulations.

What the Job Offers

Highly Competitive Salary – £70,000-£80,000.
£1,000 to arrange private healthcare.
