The Company & Role
The business operates from a BRC Grade A facility and supply to various wholesale and retail clients. The site is under expansion with investment coming in automation and looking for a candidate that is looking to grow with the business.
The purpose of the Production Manager is to ensure that processing, assembly and packing areas are managed in accordance with company H&S and technical policies.
You will ensure the safe use of facilities and equipment, ensure the safety, legality and quality of products whilst ensuring CCP’s are adhered to, manage, support and train production staff across the unit, identify areas of concern and implement preventive measures, ensure efficient labour usage to meet business targets, understand and challenge area efficiencies, waste and set a positive example throughout the production team.
My client is seeking a committed and positive individual with previous production management / team leading experience within the food manufacturing industry, most preferably from co packing frozen foods. You will possess a working knowledge of BRC standards and be HACCP qualified Level 3. To succeed in this role, you will have good leadership skills, enjoy managing and developing people through positive encouragement and be results-orientated with a positive attitude to drive forward continuous improvement.
The Production Manager job is based in the North West region and is paying £30,000 - £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus performance related bonus. The working hours are to be confirmed, however due to company expansion, the business now runs a 24 hour operation.
