Job Description

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Day Shift: 6am to 6pm, 4 on 4off, (£12.65 per hour), 12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

– Operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials in a warehouse or production environment

– Load and unload trucks and containers using a forklift

– Use a warehouse management system to track inventory and locate materials

– Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and measurements

– Inspect and perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment

– Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

– Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed

Experience:

– Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar setting

– Knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and materials handling

– Ability to safely lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required

– Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment

– Familiarity with load capacities and proper stacking techniques

– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
