ROLE
Purpose
To support the company’s technical function in ensuring food quality, safety, legality and integrity, support sustainability and ethical trade and meet customer technical requirements.
Key Goals
? Improve the technical performance and adherence of customer codes of practice at the Company's suppliers.
? Demonstrate supplier improvement through positive technical audit scores and Company technical performance scores.
? Ensure smooth transition of new product development through to launch – inclusive of the specification writing, artwork design/approval and printing process.
? Maintain accurate product specifications in conjunction with specification technologist.
? Accurate data generation for Company, Customer & Supplier KPI reports measured via presentation & Group Technical Manager feedback.
? Monitor and address (where appropriate) product technical performance. Measured via complaint trending, lab testing results, no. of non-conformances, product assessments etc.
? Maintain compliance to Company Food Safety & Quality Management System (FSQMS) demonstrated through positive 3rd party and customer technical audit scores
CANDIDATE
You will have a minimum BSc degree (2:1) in Food Science or similar. This is an office based technical role but you will be prepared to travel (including Europe), this is likely to be 15%. You will have previous experience working in Technical within the Food Industry with a strong understanding of UK retailer requirements and BRC auditing skills. Ideally you will have previous experience working with suppliers. My client offers excellent potential for career progression.
