Our client is a manufacturer going through an exciting period of growth and development. We are looking for an experienced and driven Finance Manager to lead the financial controls of a busy and fast paced site in West Yorkshire. Finance Manager
The purpose of this role is to have ownership of site financial controls for the Supply Chain function of the business. Making sure correct control and governance is in place across the factory and logistics, with reporting and transactional support from a Central Team.
Responsibilities
Own site balance sheet, including accruals, pre-payments, and stocks.
Own Daily, Weekly and Monthly results, as reported by Central Team, to understand root cause issues and opportunities, to drive improvement.
As a senior member of the Factory Management Team, drive accountability on delivery with GM.
Develop 1-year and 3-year forward strategy, actions plans and initiatives.
Critical assessment of performance by line, area/process and proactively seeking solutions
Tracking of key initiatives e.g., value engineering, major Capex, waste/efficiency projects, restructuring plans.
Set factory forward forecast and lead budget process.
Accountable for the judgement within the forward view, by being close to all local initiatives.
Identify and prioritise site cost improvement plans.
Forward views on all cost areas, including salaries.
The Candidate
Qualified/Part Qualified
Confident in challenging, conflict management and standing alone on issues.
Strong systems knowledge and experience – SAP is desirable.
Elevated levels of internal/external stakeholder management
A leader to wider teams
Experience of system process improvements – streamlining operations and eliminating non-value-added activities.
