The role
Overall accountability for the end-end process and delivery across their product portfolio for a manufacturing group site.
Ensure teams conduct efficient & reliable production processes within the boundaries of (process) safety, environment, quality, costs, and quantity.
To execute sound decisions with regard to plant, material and product integrity of all the site production and auxiliary processes.
Champion and drive the locations commitment to performance excellence, continuous improvement and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Drive effective performance management throughout the plant (including goal setting, development and strengths-based feedback) focused on building competent and motivated teams to achieve discretionary performance
Participate in diverse internal and external meetings with customers, authorities, auditors and other stakeholders
Manage critical situations and inform management, relevant stakeholders (authorities, customers, auditors) and subject matter experts
Conduct planning and analysis of the plant operations in conjunction with location management team e.g., commercial, finance, HR to ensure optimization and efficiency
Key member of the site senior leadership team, responsible for leading and driving change as the plant continues on its journey.
The candidate
Essential
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate a solid and broad understanding of end to end manufacturing processes.
You will have a proven track record of operating at a senior operational level managing complex batch manufacturing processes across a large and varied product range.
You will enjoy the operational aspects of managing production as well as the more strategic elements of the role.
A natural leader you will have excellent people management skills – inspiring, motivating, coaching and driving your team to achieve through clear communication giving them clarity and confidence to move forward.
You will have experience of change management and expect to take a collaborative and inclusive approach to working cross functionally with subject matter experts in order to ensure the delivery of the highest quality products for your area of the business.
Experience with and a commitment to performance excellence / continuous improvement
Strong problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills, with a results focused approach
Advantageous
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the fields of Chemistry, Food Processing, Production Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology, or other related field
