My client is a large food manufacturing producer, with multiple UK, and international offices They are currently seeking a European Specifications Technologist as a new addition to their Group Technical team.
The main purpose of the role:
To support and create the businesses and Customer Finished Product Specifications.
To support the European Regulatory & Specifications Manager, providing technical information of relevance for the group's sites as requested.
Main Accountabilities:
Work closely with the Development team on all new product development and ensure that relevant legislative pack copy information is correct and available on time to meet development and launch timescales.
Prepare and check pack copy/artwork in accordance with customer requirements.
Prepare, check, and gain approval for all customer product specifications and ensure they are reviewed and updated as required.
Maintain all customer specification portals ensuring all information is up to date and accurate.
Reviewing and supporting the availability of raw material and packaging specifications to the Intake Teams / Technical teams across the European sites
Key Characteristics:
In-depth knowledge of EU and UK Food Law.
In-depth knowledge of Customer Specification and web-based systems, specifically JS, Waitrose, M&S, and Tesco.
Good organisational and methodical skills with an excellent eye for detail.
Ability to prioritise tasks.
Degree-level qualification in a Food or Science related subject.
Fully trained in the use of Retailer web-based systems.
Previous experience required
A minimum of 5 years experience within a Technical function in the Food Manufacturing Industry, supported by a minimum of 3 years working as a specification and legislation technologist in the food industry.
Experience having worked within the NPD function in a Food Manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

What’s on offer?
A starting salary representative of position experience within the range of £30,000 to £35,000
The ability to work home-based, with potential travel to the head office when required for occasional business meetups
IT equipment (laptop and mobile) will be provided
Working hours of 08.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday
