Salary – £40k
Shift – Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Key tasks will include:
Management, leadership, and upskilling of the engineering team.
Ensure all machinery is fully operational to ensure consistent production, full capability, maximisation of efficiencies and reduction in downtime.
Implement engineering tools and techniques to meet the challenge of continuous improvement activities.
Developing practices and systems, including PPM schedules, testing, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
Identify and resolve any resource conflicts or problems before they impact upon production.
Liaise closely with the Engineering Technical Manager and Production Manager to ensure resource needs are captured and a viable plan can be met.
Managing communications between the engineering team and internal stakeholders.
To succeed in this demanding role, you will need the following skills and experience:
Strong mechanical engineer, backed up by a relevant engineering qualification.
Experienced Mechanical Engineering with team management experience in a FMCG environment, with a good understanding of tools and techniques available to maximise production in a manufacturing environment.
Strategic planning experience of engineering maintenance within a factory environment.
Stable career history with commitment to take tasks through to completion.
Hungry to demonstrate ability to make a cultural difference.
Able to demonstrate a proven track record of improvements, ideally within FMCG business.
Excellent management and leadership experience and communication skills.
People management, performance management and team building experience.
Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing experience.
Due to location own transport will be required.
As the factory works 24 hours, a flexible approach to working hours will be necessary.
