Engineering Team Leader

Client

I am working with an exceptional client of mine who are established and highly regarded within the industry. My client strives for excellence and are looking to add another member of staff to the engineering & operations department.

Package

Job: Engineering Team Leader
Salary: Up to £50,000
Shift: Monday to Friday (8am – 4pm)

Role

•To ensure all shift engineers work safely by applying sound engineering principles and safe systems of work, permit to work, risk assessment, whilst working across a diverse range of equipment and associated hazards
•To promote a culture of positive safety behaviours within your team, demonstrate strong safety leadership and address unsafe behaviours and working practices to coach the right behaviours
•Planning of scheduled work by liaising with production management to ensure production equipment is made available so that the site planned maintenance schedule adherence targets are achieved
•Provide expert technical leadership with respect to providing training, coaching and mentoring of shift engineers, machine minders, operators and apprentices.
•Actively contribute to daily production meetings to discuss and agree solutions for current safety, quality and performance issues.
Requirements/Experience

•Time Served Apprenticeship
•Computer proficiency in MS Office and CMMS systems
•Specialisation in either mechanical or electrical engineering
•Strong leadership, motivational and organisational skills
•A demonstrated drive and passion to improve both the company and their own performance
•Understanding of business KPIs and how engineering impacts on them
