Company

At present I have an opening with a leading UK manufacturing business, who have an array of instantly recognisable branded products under their group heading, of which they manufacture across over 5 UK sites. They supply to all UK major retailers and every household in the UK will have at least one of their products.

his role is based in Grimsby and will be looking after a close knit team of Engineers, on a site which has invested over £22m in the last 5 years, with a further £3m CAPEX expected this year. As such, the business can boast they have state of the art machinery, rare machinery (only 4 types in the whole UK) within their factory.

Role

This role will suit an experienced team leader, supervisor or shift lead looking to enhance their career prospects and eventually grow into an Engineering Manager. This role will be 60% hands-on and they need a strong man-manager to lead from the front, get the most out the team and set a good culture for the team.

As an Engineering Supervisor you will lead and support a team in ensuring maximum utilisation of resources and equipment to achieve efficient production of Right First Time products – this is to be achieved within the Company quality, safety and environmental frameworks whilst developing a team working and continuous improvement culture. To lead by example whilst demonstrating the correct behaviours associated with a professional management / leadership role

Shift / Salary
Mon – Fri, 8am – 4pm, up to £48,249 per annum

Core responsibilities

Supervision of assigned engineering teams in their daily duties
Plan and complete tasks for self from PPM and Manufacturers schedules

Support production, with ideas and initiative’s  to optimise line efficiency

Checks include start up, line set (safety, operations, technical and engineering), routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer’s schedules, complete relevant documentation in accordance with Company policies and procedures
