Our client is a leading food manufacturer, they are looking to appoint an Engineering Stores and Maintenance person to their team!
We are looking for someone to fill this important role in the engineering/workshop area within the client’s factory. Their engineering department has a large stock of parts, including everything from replacement machines and circuit breakers to spare washers and fastenings.
Once established, the role will require someone to manage engineering stores in terms of organisation of spare parts, replenishment of stock and keeping the stores and workshop area tidy and orderly.
The role will also encompass basic elements of our preventative maintenance programme such as daily machine lubrication etc.
The candidate:
A background gained in a busy engineering and manufacturing business is essential.
A basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components is very desirable
It is essential to have stores experience and stock control employment experience.
Strong organisational skills
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Strong familiarity with creating and maintaining stock tracking spreadsheets using Microsoft excel
What’s on offer:
This position will be required 5 day out of 7, including a weekly Sunday shift.
The working hours are 08.30 am – 4.30 pm.
£12 per hour pay rate.
