Purpose:
Reporting to the Factory General Manager, you will have responsibility for asset care in order to optimise production output at the lowest possible cost to approved Company quality standards. The direction, management, training and development of the Maintenance Department and the Production Department for encouraging and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement throughout their span control. To deliver on-time and in-budget Capital and Revenue projects.
Main Responsibilities:
1 To establish and manage a full preventative maintenance program across the site.
2 To ensure that all maintenance works are recorded accurately and timely into the computerised
maintenance system.
3 Keep abreast of current and future legislative requirements and ensure Company compliance.
4 To identify and implement continuous improvement activities across the site to increase equipment
efficiency and availability in conjunction with production.
5 Utility management.
6 Ensure all work undertaken and equipment is maintained in a safe and efficient manner, following
any necessary standards and guidelines.
7 Plan, layout and assign work for functional areas of responsibility.
8 Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
9 Maintain good housekeeping conditions and ensure staff and contractors conformance to safety,
hygiene and sanitation rules.
10 Develop and present detailed annual budget for all areas of relevant expenditure.
11 Develop and monitor formal control programmes to track and regulate repair costs and spare part
inventories.
12 Work with corporate engineering personnel to design, plan, schedule and complete Capital
Improvement Projects to time and anticipated benefits.
13 Be an ambassador for Health and Safety and to ensure compliance for quality, health and safety
14 Perform such administrative functions as are consistent with a role of this nature
CANDIDATE
? 3-5 years of relevant management experience within a food process, bottling, liquid filling
and/or consumer goods manufacturing /packaging environment.
? Professionally Qualified Engineer.
? Strong mechanical ability and a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and PLC
systems are required. Demonstrated ability to apply and conduct root cause analysis
techniques and resolve problems essential.
? Computer proficiency in word, Excel, Internet, e-mail and database systems is desirable.
? Working knowledge of computerised preventative maintenance programs experience are
highly desirable.
? Must have a strong floor presence and be able to interact effectively with people at all levels
