Job Description

Multi-skilled Engineer
Salary: £38,000 + 10% matched pension
Location: Glasgow
Shifts: Monday to Friday days (Early finish Friday)

Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to address equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Carry out preventative maintenance activities, including lubrication, calibration, and parts replacement.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, document repairs, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines.
• Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance maintenance practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
• Apprenticeship served engineer (Electrical bias preferred)
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food industry.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• A commitment to following safety protocols and ensuring a safe work environment.
